Childminding

Who is a Childminder?

Childminders look after children in the Childminder’s own home.  Childminders provide full-time, part-time or flexible day care. The Childminder’s role is to provide a loving, safe and comfortable home environment for children, offering love, food, time, warmth, attention, outings, stimulation, protection and providing appropriate materials and toys for play and learning activities.

Parents and Childminders work in partnership for the benefit of the child.

Denise Quinlan is Childminder Advisory Officer with Kerry County Childcare Committee and provides support for existing, potential and new Childminders.
